REGGIE BLOUNT
Reginald "Reggie" Blount, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, has a diverse background spanning both military and civilian sectors. He graduated from Paxon Sr. High School before pursuing further education at Tampa Tech Institute, where he earned an associate degree in commercial graphics and photography. Continuing his academic journey, he attended Edward Waters College (University), obtaining a bachelor's degree in business management, followed by a master's in public policy from Liberty University.
Reggie's extensive military career spans over thirty years of service in the US Army, which included combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Croatia–Kosovo, and Operation Desert Storm, where he served as a surgical medic. Notably, he contributed to the Army Provincial Reconstruction Team, fostering international relations in challenging environments, and undertook special assignments with the US Army Special Operations Command, holding a TOP SECRET Security Clearance.
Outside his military service, Reggie is deeply engaged in community service, receiving recognition such as the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for his over two decades of mentoring high school students and coaching track and field. Currently, he serves as the life skills curriculum writer for the Biscayne High School mentorship program for young men.
In his civilian career, Reggie has worked in adult continuing education and currently holds the position of lead assessment coordinator at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Additionally, he has contributed Op-ed articles to prominent newspapers such as the Florida Star and Jacksonville Free Press. His achievements have garnered him recognition in the 2024 Marques "Who's Who In America."
